Service Times & Details

Sunday morning at Lenox Road is something to experience. Our worship is rooted in scripture and in song, shaped by the African American and Caribbean traditions that have made this congregation a family for more than 150 years. A Standard of Excellence

We aspire to excellence in everything we do, with a community committed to listening, learning, serving, and showing up for one another with genuine care.

A Healthy Church Family

We are growing into a healthy family: loving, learning, laughing, and living in harmony. Every ministry here is shaped around making disciples of Christ.

A Church on Mission

We engage in educational, social, and health ministries, and support outreach work from our Brooklyn block to communities around the world.

Growth in Faith

We help every member grow in faith through worship, study, pastoral care, prayer, retreats, and the everyday rhythms of life with God.

Frequently Asked Questions
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving about 15 minutes before service so you can find a seat, settle in, and meet a few people. Sunday worship begins at 10:00 AM and Wednesday service begins at 7:00 PM.
What if I'm bringing my children?
Children are welcome in the sanctuary, and Sunday School runs during the worship hour for kids and youth. Ask any usher when you arrive and they'll point you in the right direction.
Is there parking?
Street parking is available along Nostrand Avenue and the surrounding blocks. Spots can fill up quickly, so plan a few extra minutes. The 2 and 5 trains stop at Winthrop Street, a short walk from the church, and the B44 bus runs along Nostrand Avenue.
What if I can't make it in person?
Join us online. Every service is livestreamed on YouTube, Facebook, and Zoom, and past sermons are archived so you can watch any time.
How do I become a member?
We'd love to meet you. After service, speak with an usher or member of the ministerial team, or reach out to the church office and we'll walk you through the next steps.
What if I'm new to faith, or unsure about it?
You are exactly who we hope walks through our doors. There is room here for questions, for doubt, and for searching. Come as you are and we'll walk with you.
