Rev. Norma Williams is the daughter of the late Clarence and Ivy Raynor of Mount Prospect District, Manchester, Jamaica. She is married to Rollin Williams and they have three children – Cheryl, Donnette and Kimberly. Rev. Williams is the middle child of five children, with two older sisters and two younger brothers. Her family is extremely supportive of her call to ministry.
After migrating to the United States, she attended Brooklyn College from where she graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in English, and a Masters of Arts in Secondary English Education. Rev. Williams further equipped herself for Christian ministry by attending New York Theological Seminary. She first graduated with a Masters of Professional Studies and later with a Masters of
Divinity in Parish Ministry and Christian Education. Rev. Williams is a certified New York City Department of Education teacher with over twenty years of experience.
In 2004, the Lenox Road Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Kirkpatrick Cohall licensed Rev. Williams to Christian Ministry. Rev. Williams has served the church in various capacities for over twenty years- Sunday School Superintendent, director of Vacation Bible School, facilitator of New Members Discipleship Class, chairperson of the Black History Committee and a member of the Advisory Board. She is also a teacher at the Lenox Bible Institute.
Rev. Williams’ desire is to do what God would have her do during this season of her life. As one who is called by God, Rev. Williams looks to God for where and how He would have her be His hand extended.
